Hearst Castle Video Tour
Hearst Castle rests on a forty thousand acre ranch purchased in 1865 by Hearst's father as a vacation spot. By the time Hearst was in full control of the ranch he reigned over it's expansion to a 250,000 acre mega ranch by the early 1920's
Construction commenced on the Hearst Castle at that time and continues almost uninterrupted up to 1947, when he stopped living at Hearst castle due to declining health.
